19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev claimed his initial championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has endured a torrid year, achieving just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his serving in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and eventually splitting with long-time coach Cervara.
Currently collaborating with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually improved in the recent weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface from spring of 2023.
Success also means he has won twenty-one titles at 21 various events.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to win a trophy is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my older daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had failed in his past six title deciders, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching strategy and frequent reactions on the playing surface had led some to question if his ability to perform at the elite level was finished.
However the player has altered his approach in the last few weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an better serve.
The champion recovered from a deficit in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players swapped break points in the following set before Moutet, attempting for his initial professional title, took control to push for a third set.
He saved 4 early opportunities in a competitive deciding set before the champion broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, the winner clinched victory with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to control a return after a lengthy match.
